Stop By The Woods On A Snowy Morning

It's feeling a bit Robert Frost-y here this morning, with more snow and a fierce cold outside.

I managed to capture a snowflake or two this morning from our front porch.  The flakes were those huge, fluffy sugar snowflakes.

Having a new camera is fun.

Here's another shot of a different section of the woods by our house, also trying to catch some snowflakes here as well.

And here is a quick snap of The Peanut and Roxie having a cuddle before school today.  Things were on a 2-hour delay, which is always a little more hectic because you never know when it will turn into a whole day off school...or when it won't.

As you can see, there is much love from The Peanut for her pooch.

PS -- I am right this minute assembling the American Girl knock-off doll bed that we bought The Peanut for Christmas.  It will be tucked away as soon as I'm completely finished so that Santa can bring it to her.  But I had to tell everyone -- it is absolutely perfect.  Nice, sturdy wood, easy assembly thus far and the cutest end-closet feature.  She is going to get some serious play time with it.  Woo hoo!  Don't you just love it when a bargain works out well?

(All photos are my own, taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T2i, using an 18-135 mm lens.
Please do not use the photo of my child, as I try to keep distribution of anything of her limited.  Thanks.)
