Cabin Fever

We've hit that point in the winter where it's dreadfully cold, with lots of snow and ice...and no school yet again.

I see a day filled with games and reading in our future.  And perhaps some cookies being baked.  There was much sledding yesterday, but this feels like a different day entirely, so I'm going to have to dig deep into my mom bag of tricks to come up with something awesome.

This morning, it has been a dueling pair of blue jays and a red bellied woodpecker vying for control of the bird feeder.  Between all the bird chatter and the random squirrel that popped up (why isn't he hibernating??!!??), our westie terrier may have an apoplectic fit any second now.

It's at least been amusing for the rest of us.

In other news, I have a PET scan next week.  Some pesky lymph nodes have decided to pop out and stay there, and we're going to double check them to be certain it isn't anything that needs immediate attention.

If it isn't one thing, it is another.  But it is what it is, and we'll get through it like we do everything else -- together.

Enjoy a bit of Muppet hilarity above.  It is a clip from Muppet Treasure Island. Hilarious stuff.
