Happy Dr. Seuss Day!
It's the birthday of Dr. Seuss today. And off a not-so-wee-any-longer girlie went to school today wearing stripes on her shirt and her legwarmers. They celebrate Dr. Seuss day at her school every year, and she was really looking forward to it -- and to getting back into the swing of things.
The Peanut has finally gone back to school, after an extended sickness.
Which makes me happy on two fronts: she's feeling better -- no fever, hooray! -- and the house is still for a little while. Funny how you can miss a thing like quiet when you haven't had it for several days, isn't it?
I caught some of The Peanut's ick, so I've been remiss about posting the last few days. Sorry about that, gang, but it couldn't be helped as we were both struggling to breathe and stay upright. But we'll catch up soon enough. Hope all is well with all of you.
Enjoy the clip from Cat in the Hat...

hope you feel better soon christy
Me, too, Suz -- there were 7 kids out of Fiona's class this past week with the same ick, and a few more out this week, too. It's supposedly a particularly virulent strain of the flu, mixed in with a cold and some pretty bad strep for some kids -- potent combo. Mercifully, I appear to have only caught the cold end of it, but it is taking forever to get out of my system -- which seems to be true as I get older, that I just don't bounce back as quickly from anything like this. Getting old sucks, doesn't it? *g*
