Butterfly Season

Our butterfly bush is finally blooming, in long swaths of color on stalks that reach up well beyond the sunroom roof overhang this year.

The dark purple blooms are irresistible seemingly to local butterflies, because they are covered pretty regularly by winged beauties.

And I can see them easily outside the window as I sit here typing.

Here's to summer.

We came back from our trip to find tiny tomatoes growing on our vines, squash growing from a myriad of blooms, and cucumbers blooming aplenty.  Flowers are out in full force here, too.

A little rain would be nice, but I could use the exercise lugging the watering can so it's not all bad.

It's good to be home.  How are things in your neck of the woods?
