Hallelujah!

Huzzah! The Peanut's school will stay open in its current location.

The diocese and adjacent parishes volunteered to fund some of this, and the rest of the repair costs will be raised through a fundraising effort in the surrounding communities.  In my mind, this is the best of all possible solutions for the kids, and for the community on the whole.

Yippee!  One worry that I can check off the list...and since it was a huge one, this is a lovely thing to find out this morning.

Hallelujah.

More here.  And here from the Bishop.

(Do watch the video.  Laughed my ass off...)

Good for you, the Peanut and, it appears, the area.

Nice to find you writing again. I did not know. Will check in now and again.

We are so thankful this all got resolved before the end of the current school year. The kids have been terrified their school would close -- and The Peanut loves it there, which has made the last few days really tough. We are so happy now, though, that it is staying open in the same building -- it's been an institution in our community for 100 years and it would really be a shame to lose that history along with the school. Now we get the best of both worlds. Yay!
