Bigger Picture Perspective

Sometimes, the best thing you can do for yourself is to pull back and, in the immortal words of Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, look at the universe in a way that "[m]akes you feel so, sort of, insignificant, doesn't it?"  It truly can be illuminating to view the world, and whatever baggage you may be carrying around in it, through that superbly clarifying lens.

It is amazing how problems -- large or small, impossible or easily solved -- all look more manageable and insignificant when you pull back and take the wider, longer term, giant endless universe versus your momentary blip view of the situation.

Which is why I often find myself humming The Galaxy Song (YouTube) when I'm feeling overwhelmed.

Nothing like a good giggle to get you over the next hurdle in your path. At least, that's how it works best for me. Laughter always helps me, even in the most dire of situations.

Have been humming The Galaxy Song (YouTube) a lot lately, and life has actually been getting back to more of a normal routine without the constant stream of hiccups.  Wonder what that means?
