Finally

Finally, the butterflies and hummingbirds have started arriving at our yard in larger numbers.

It has been an oddly slow year and it was throwing me off, but we finally have more happy critters checking out the flowers in the yard.  Wonder if it was the cooler start to summer coupled with all of the rain we have gotten this year that has slowed things down?

Whatever the case, we are definitely planning some more butterfly-friendly flowers for the yard.

Honestly, the planning is half the fun.
If anyone has suggestions for gardening or nature books that have great information on plants and flowers for butterflies and hummingbirds, please share your advice in the comments.  I'm always up for perusing another good gardening book these days.
