Yesterday's first chemo infusion went as smoothly as we could have hoped. We were there for more than four and a half hours, with no major hitches or reactions.
So far, so good.
Woke up to a headache. But given the toxic sludge that is sloshing around inside me, it isn't exactly unexpected. If that's all I have to deal with, I will certainly count myself very lucky indeed.
It is lovely outside, cool enough to open the sunroom windows and enjoy the scent of our beautifully blooming roses. Will try to get some pictures of them in the next day or two to share -- they are bright read and absolutely gorgeous at the moment.
All in all, today's word is: hopeful.
