Winter's Last Gasp

We woke up this morning to a sky filled with sunshine, a little snow on the ground, and flurries still fluttering down through the biting air.

Birdies are fluffed up so fat in the tree across from our feeder that they look double in size.  Glad I was able to re-fill the feeders yesterday, because there are some seriously grateful birds all clustered outside our sunroom awaiting their turn at the seed trough.

It is definitely good day to stay inside where it is warm and cozy.

(Photo by Christy Hardin Smith.  Alas, this is an older shot of our feeder; we didn't get quite this much snow overnight.)
