What If...

Loved this interview with Alan Rickman on The View.

There is a particularly poignant moment about two-thirds of the way in where he's talking about why he switched ultimately from graphic design to acting when he was a younger man. Turns out he only began drama school and acting at 25, after trying graphic design and directing first and not really feeling like he fit either of them.

Rickman says that he made the leap because he didn't want his headstone in the graveyard to read "what if..."

I love that.

It is a fantastic way to ask yourself where you ought to be going as well, isn't it?

What would you be doing if there were no strings, no impediments, no risks involved?  What if...you actually tried to do it?

Wonderful stuff!
