No Oscar Nod for Alan Rickman? Arrrrrrrgh!!!!

Dear Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences:

There are no words to express my disappointment in the lack of a nomination for the brilliant Alan Rickman and his subtle, nuanced and incredibly moving performance in the final Harry Potter film.

Disgusted does not begin to cover my feelings, so I'll just leave with this: your bias against science fiction and fantasy films is showing.

Arrrrrrrgh,
Christy

PS -- The above YouTube is a fantastic interview with Alan Rickman about his role in all of the films and so much more.  Well worth watching!

Well, I can't say that I'm surprised, as we all know: Oscars are more about politics than art. And Alan Rickman is a true artist from the depth of his soul.
A very adorable one! :)
I suggest to have some tea with Alan, so you can probably not calm down, but it's always delicious to see him getting furious.
Just in case you don't know his "Portraits in dramatic time", you can find the video and other links on my blog.
Yes, I am a Rickmaniac and proud of it, plus it feels so good to know, that there are so many of us out there. *gone drinking tea with Alan* LOL

Another Rickmaniac here. Totally agree that his talent was awesome and deserved an Oscar nod. He's just amazing!
