Woo Hoo!!!!

Today, we got my pathology report back from my surgery.

Best. Christmas. Present. EVER.

They got everything out with the surgery. No more surgeries are required. No chemo or radiation, either.

Woo hoo!
I am so grateful to everyone for the prayers and good wishes through all of this.  It has meant so much to me, knowing that all of you were pulling for me along the way.

To get the pathology report and see that it was still an early stage, inactive melanoma was such a huge relief.  I cannot even begin to tell you how much of a relief.

We are thrilled.  And will still be working on improving our healthy habits in the days ahead.  Sunscreen, big floppy hats and lots of fruits and veggies, you are my future!

(To celebrate, the above YouTube is an hilarious scene from Love Actually wherein Rowin Atkinson and Alan Rickman discuss the merits of elaborate gift wrapping. Laugh out loud funny!)

Thanks everyone. As you might expect, we are thrilled. And since I got my stitches out this afternoon, The Peanut has decided that I'm no longer entitled to the name "Franken Mom." LOL It will be a much, much cheerier Christmas, indeed, at our house. Thanks to everyone for all the good wishes and support -- it really has meant the world.
