The Hobbit: A Video Blog From Cast And Crew

Peter Jackson has been doing a series of video blogs (or vlogs) from the set of The Hobbit which is filming to much, much anticipation in this house.

The funny thing is that it is his follow-up to his amazing full-length treatment of The Lord of the Rings.

Except that The Hobbit is actually the precursor to the Lord of the Rings trilogy.  So, in effect, we have to go backward to go forward. 

For me?  More Tolkien is always cause for celebration.

The latest in Jackson's "behind the scenes vlog tour" series is a hoot, not least of which because it gives us little glimpses of the cast and crew, their mood on the set and some snippets of scenes from the movie itself as they are shooting.

It looks brilliant. The anticipation continues to build...can't wait!
