The Color Of Music

We took a little drive on Saturday, and heard a song that we hadn't heard in ages on the XM '80s station. Remember Simply Red?

Which led to an hilarious bout of coming up with band names.

We decided there needs to be a concert tour called "Colorpalooza."

Other than Simply Red, we came up with:

Deep Purple (which might pose a problem, considering how much of the band has passed away already)
Cream
Black Sabbath
Pink
The White Stripes
Pink Floyd
Green Day
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Moody Blues
Maroon 5
Blue Oyster Cult

But I know there have to be more.  Who am I missing?

Ooooh -- I thought of another one: Al Green.

He's not available for the tour....but can't forget the inimitable Barry White.

Thought of another one playing my iPod today: the Indigo Girls. Love them!

And how could I have forgotten Barry White?!?

'If You Don't Know me By Now' is a great tune, but it was first made a hit in 1972 by another group you can add to that list -- Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes.

How about Red Holloway, Black Eyed Peas. Flipping through my music I see Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears, and Kissing the Pink.
