It's been busy here this morning.
Spent an hour or so getting the Campbell's Labels for Education stuff in order. I'm the parent volunteer who is working on this, and even though it is a lot of work, it's nice to think the school can get some free stuff from the UPC codes of stuff people are already eating.
The good news? The Peanut's school has an opportunity to pick up 1,000 bonus labels if we get 1,000 labels in by December 31, 2010. So far, we're at 342 and counting, which is a nice start to the year. (Huge thank you to parents who saved labels over the summer!)
Then, I did a bit of research on a couple more things I'm working on at the moment, also for school. (Are you sensing a trend? I am.)
And now? Some much needed housecleaning. With all the back to school busy-ness, the clutter has begun to take over our lives and I reached that point yesterday evening where I want to run screaming out of the house. Instead, I'm going to tackle it and bring it back into order if it kills me.
There has to be a better way of managing all of this mess on a daily basis. But with a 7 year old and an increasingly swamped husband? I'm mystified at how we can do better other than continual gleaning, downsizing, donating and altogether taking in less than we move out.
Which is, alas, easier said than done for all of us.
(she says while brushing a dust bunny out of her auburn curls -- and doesn't that make cleaning somehow sound a little more glamorous than it really is? LOL)
How are things with you?
(Lovely photo via Chiot's Run. Check out the accompanying blog post -- almost manages to make cleaning sound enjoyable. Almost, anyway.)
