It's a Cafe Du Monde kind of morning.
Ahhhh, the extra coating of powdered sugar along with the coating of cafe au lait that sticks to your tongue just a little bit.
And the view of Jackson Square and all the tourists and locals strolling by, accompanied by the music of a couple of violin buskers fishing for tip money? Love it.
I could come here every day for the ambiance. If it weren't for the insane calories of the fried dough coated in more powdered sugar than any human being ought to consume in one sitting, that is.
But hey? It's New Orleans. So I'm refusing to worry about the increase in hip size until I get home...

i've heard that food loses their calories in direcct proportion to how far away from home ya are.
